Amblion Strider

As everything is more dangerous in the Turuk Na Num desert, even the local pests are deadly. Other kingdoms have pests like cockroaches, mice or even ants, but here our problem is the Amblions! These giant arthropods are gifted with an “embrace” capable of tearing entire guilds in half. They have a curious adaptation to the extremely dry territory, presenting formations of saline crystals in the posterior part of the body. It is speculated whether this feature aims to capture any minimal atmospheric moisture for the creature´s organism or simply expel excess salt without the need to expel water in the process. Striders are the most common specimens found roaming the dunes, however there are much more dangerous sub-species such as Spikers, Phantoms and Fungoids. But that´s a story for another day. It´s late and I must put out the lamp before its light attracts some hungry Amblion. . .
