In ancient Dasmanpur, technomagic wonders were the routine of the empire. One of the most dazzling, the Dasmanpur Guardians, were automatons animated by elemental spirits that served as protectors of the kingdom, especially against the invading undead hordes commanded by Enkidar. After the obliteration of the magnificent city, the inanimate carcasses of such metallic giants remained inert, until the taint of Bloodstone began to infest them, slowly growing like a plague. . . Completely occupying the bodies, reanimating them as unholy constructs, driven by a malevolent energy, no longer sworn to protect, but to destroy all forms of life they come across.
